The Alocasia Black Velvet, also called Alocasia Reginula, gets its fame from its stunning dark velvety leaves.
Almost-black velvet-soft leaves with contrasting white veins are striking indoors and out (in tropical locations - it likes humidity, but don't overwater.)
The leaves of Alocasia look velvet-like but are a little rough to touch. This Alocasia grows only up to 30-40cm tall.
This Darker leaf Alocasia prefers well-drained soil on the drier side - like a succulent let the soil dry out a little between watering.
