Crossandra infundibuliformis  is a perennial plant native to India and Sri Lanka that can flower abundantly all year in warm, tropical climates.
The species gets its common name from the seed pods that can explode when ripe in the right conditions.
Atop this beautiful, deep green foliage appear the flowers. They attach to an upright stem that protrudes from the leaves.
