Fronds are 6 to 8’ long at maturity and are compiled of leaflets encircling the rachis, thus creating the appearance of a foxtail, trunk is self cleaning, slender, gray in color, tightly ringed and slightly swollen at the base, can tolerate light frost, grows well in a variety of well draining soils.
